Hayden council splits on tattoo shop move

HAYDEN - A majority vote Tuesday night by the Hayden City Council cleared the way for Dan's Tattoo Shop to move a couple doors north on Government Way from its current location right behind the Zip's Drive Thru. The council voted 3-1 to allow the move, with City Councilwoman Jeri DeLange voting against it. When shop owners began the paperwork process necessary to make the move from one location to another within the city's "central business district," they were surprised to find that city staff members said no. RATHDRUM Nobody budges a 1,200-pound horse without a plan. "You gotta use finesse. We're just gonna nudge him in the right direction, then stay out of his way," said Dr. David Gray, as he pushed the
horse's hind quarters toward the wall. With one rope tied to his halter and another to a loop in his wrapped tail, both were secured around rings on either side of the stall. The ropes were held tight as Mocha, an
American paint and show horse, was given a second injection of a sedative. About 45 seconds later, Mocha's legs grew wobbly, then buckled, as he slumped to the padded floor, guided by helpers at either end of
